"I have this theory that if one person
can go out of their way to show compassion then it will start a chain reaction of the same."

-Rachel Joy Scott

Rachel Scott was the first person killed at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999. Her acts of kindness and compassion and the contents of her six diaries have changed the lives of many students around the United States. Rachel's Challenge came to Trinity Catholic on January 12, 2012. The entire school has taken up the challenge by beginning a school-wide chain of paper strip links for every act of kindness performed. You can learn more by visiting their website: rachelschallenge.org

School Improvement Plan

Each fully accredited school undergoes a self-evaluation process using the School Improvement Plan (SIP) model, under the accrediting agency (Florida Catholic Conference) agreement with the National Study of School Evaluation (NSSE). The process takes a year to a year and a half to complete. Once completed, there is an on-site 3-day visitation by personnel from Dioceses outside the host school which verifies the school’s report. A third-year review follows with administrators, pastor, faculty, parents, FCC representative, etc. Thus follows a new cycle, so that every 7 years a new Self-Study begins.  Trinity Catholic is presently at work implementing the five-year Action Plan by addressing one of the three goals established in their Self-Study for improving student performance.
