Early Childhood Education

At Trinity Catholic School's Pre-K program, the Creative Curriculum by Teaching Strategies serves as the cornerstone of our early childhood education, providing a rich, play-based learning environment. This comprehensive curriculum allows our dedicated educators to foster development across all domains, from social-emotional skills to cognitive growth, while also integrating faith-based lessons that align with our Catholic identity. Importantly, while embracing the holistic nature of the Creative Curriculum, our teachers are also trained in and incorporate principles from the science of reading into their daily instruction. This ensures that even at this foundational Pre-K stage, children are exposed to best practices in phonological awareness, print concepts, and early literacy skills, setting a strong groundwork for future reading success within a supportive and engaging classroom.  

In our Kindergarten program, we are committed to providing a robust and engaging educational experience that seamlessly integrates academic rigor with our faith-based mission. Our core curriculum in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Religion is thoughtfully designed, with a particular emphasis on literacy instruction grounded in the science of reading. This approach ensures that our young learners develop strong foundational skills in phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension, setting them on a path for reading success. Beyond these core subjects, students benefit from a rich array of specialized classes including Spanish, Art, Music, Physical Education, and Library, fostering well-rounded development. Central to our Catholic identity, kindergarten students begin attending weekly Mass in the second quarter, further nurturing their spiritual growth within our challenging academic environment.
