National Junior Honor Society; Sr. Rose-Aileen Chapter
“NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the national organization since its beginning in 1929.

Five main purposes have guided chapters of NJHS from the beginning: to create enthusiasm for scholarship; to stimulate a desire to render service; to promote leadership; to encourage responsible citizenship; and to develop character in the students of secondary schools. These purposes also translate into the criteria used for membership selection in each local chapter.” (source: https://www.njhs.us/about-us.aspx)

Students are eligible to apply for membership in the Rose-Aileen Chapter of NJHS based on their cumulative Middle School GPAs after at least one full semester at Trinity. Students will then fill out an application showcasing evidence of their leadership, character, citizenship, and service. If selected, students will be inducted into NJHS at a ceremony that takes place at the beginning of each school year.
