    2024-2025 President:
    Mr. Brady Lyon
    tcshomeandschool@gmail.com

The Home and School Association is an integral part of Trinity Catholic School. The Association is under the jurisdiction of the School to accomplish the following:

    • To promote open communication among the parents, teachers, and administration.
    • To provide parents and teachers with the information to aid in all aspects of education, growth and development.
    • To promote good will and cooperation between and among parents, faculty, administration, School Advisory Council, and Blessed Sacrament Parish.
    • To direct and coordinate parental support to Trinity Catholic School through assistance in activities, community events, and fundraisers.
    • To develop an understanding of quality education and its rising costs, and to enhance our children’s educational environment.

    Home & School Meetings

The Home and School Association holds four meetings each school year. These meetings provide important information about upcoming school events as well as updates on school policies and procedures. These quarterly meetings also serve as a forum for discussion between parents and the administration on certain issues. Parents receive two volunteer hours for each meeting they attend.

    Home & School Programs

    Back To School Orientation
Orientation is an opportunity for families to meet teachers, familiarize themselves with the classroom, learn about volunteer opportunities, and pick up packets with information about the upcoming school year.

    New Families Program
The New Families Program is designed to help ease the transition into the Trinity family. This committee hosts the New Families Lunch and Learn, which is held the day of orientation. The committee members are also available to all new families throughout the year.

    Safety Angels
This group of parents provides security during morning drop-off at specific locations around campus.

    Uniform Closet
The uniform closet houses gently used uniforms. Parents can either purchase these used uniforms at a discounted price or make even trades for no cost. The dates and times of sales will be announced in advance.

Home & School Fundraisers and Events

    Boosterthon Fun Run
This annual fundraiser is held in the fall and provides great financial support to the school while also teaching our children important fitness, leadership, and character building skills. Students seek pledges from friends and family during the week leading up to the Fun Run. Each day of the campaign, Boosterthon team members bring prizes to students who have reached certain pledge goals as they also provide daily lessons on staying healthy and being a good friend and leader.

    Spirit Days
Spirit Days are usually scheduled on the first Friday of every month.  Students are encouraged to show their school spirit by wearing their TCS spirit shirts, which are available for purchase from the Spirit Shop. When allowed, students will be able to purchase a treat for $.25 during recess on Spirit Days.

    Fall Festival
The Fall Festival is held on a Saturday in October and is enjoyed by students, faculty, parents, parishioners, neighbors, and friends.  Bounce houses, games, face painting, crafts, and tasty treats are just a few of the many activities featured at this fun event. Tickets are sold before school and during lunch the week of the Fall Festival.

    Santa’s Secret Shop
Santa’s Secret Shop is held for 2 days in December to give our students an opportunity to purchase Christmas gifts for their parents, siblings, grandparents and friends. The parish hall is transformed into a store full of merchandise. All items cost only $3.00.

    Fat Tuesday Luncheon
Each year Home & School prepares a Fat Tuesday lunch, complete with all the famous Cajun dishes for the teachers.

    Grandparent’s Day
All grandparents, and adopted grandparents, are invited to visit their grandchildren at school, enjoy refreshments, meet the faculty and staff, and be a part of life in the classroom with their grandchildren. We look forward to meeting all grandparents and sharing our Trinity experience with you.

    Trinity Auction
This wonderful event is our biggest and best fundraiser. It features a live auction with art items made by our very own students and a silent auction with various items generously donated by stores, restaurants, and individuals in Tallahassee and beyond. The evening includes dinner and drinks, musical entertainment, animated bidding in both silent and live auctions, as well as fellowship among the parents, administrators, faculty, staff and friends of Trinity Catholic School. It is a unique opportunity for the greater Catholic community to come together to celebrate and support Catholic education in our area. For information and tickets, please check our website.

    Teacher Appreciation Week
This is a special week that we take time to recognize our teachers through special treats, notes and a luncheon.

    Share Nights
Home & School hosts Family Share Nights throughout the year. Parents, students, faculty, and friends are all invited to participate in this fun and easy fundraiser by patronizing local establishments who will in return contribute a percentage of your bill back to Trinity.  Please see the Calendar for Share Nights.
