A Message From Nurse Kierstan Greif, RN
Wow, what a surge we are experiencing in COVID-19 cases here on campus. We knew to expect a rise in cases after Christmas, but we have had between 70 and 80 students out every day since we returned. The good news is, it should be getting better soon! And we are definitely ready for BETTER! We are all looking forward to a return to normalcy once the local numbers dictate that we are safe to do so. In anticipation of those better days, we have started planning for some changes back towards days of old! Parents are already allowed back on campus with some safety protocols in place. Catholic Schools Week will bring even more parents onto campus as they celebrate recess and lunch/treats with their students. We are praying that February will allow two classes at a time to attend Mass together. All good things to come!
In the meantime, please be vigilant regarding illness in your home. We still have seasonal flu, strep throat, and yes, COVID-19 circulating throughout the school. We are doing our best to protect everyone, while still encouraging learning and loving here on campus. Please consider sending in Clorox/Lysol wipes, Lysol spray, children and adult sized masks, and lots and lots of prayers!
